This year’s National Apprenticeship Week had the aim of shining a light on the amazing work carried out by employers and apprentices across the country.
The annual week-long celebration kicked off on February 8 this year, enabling employers to showcase how apprenticeships have helped them along with people of all ages and backgrounds.
The Week also recognises how employers of all sizes have stepped up to the challenge during this unprecedented time. Here at Asmech Systems Ltd. we advocate this celebration and want to share our success story with you.
National Apprenticeship week – Asmech Systems Ltd Annual Award Winner
Asmech Systems Ltd. have our very own annual award to celebrate our dedicated apprentices. This is where our superb staff come together to nominate one of our apprentices for outstanding contributions. This year’s award goes to Callum Holmes (pictured left). Callum joined us straight out of school and is currently undertaking a level 3 apprenticeship. He is an asset to us.
Three times award winner
We are also proud to mention Josh Payton, who has won our annual award no less than three times, as well as other local awards. He received top academic grades from his college as well as a significant achievement of winning a £3.1 million contract for our business. Josh joined Asmech Systems Ltd. in 2015 having surpassed another 60 applicants to the position.
Our managing director, Shane Gunston has this to say about our Josh, “From day one Josh showed enthusiasm and commitment. Whatever the task, Josh gets stuck in and applies a maturity and intelligence beyond his years.”
So now that this year’s awards are over and done with, the staff at Asmech Systems Ltd. will now be on the look out for the next award winner and ahead to another year for our winners to shine.
