We will be closed for Christmas from the end of play on Friday 23rd December and will re-open on Tuesday 3rd January.
We hope you have a wonderful time over the festive season and manage to spend time with your families, with that in mind we have put together a few ideas of things to do over Christmas.
Bake some Christmassy snacks
A lovely and fairly cheap way to spend some time together is to get baking! Everybody can help and it’s easy to do – biscuits, cookies, brownies, gingerbread – whatever your favourite is. These can then be given as Christmas presents or treats for family, friends or neighbours.
Watch a Christmas movie
There is nothing better than snuggling under the blanket on the sofa and picking out a festive film to watch together. The only prep you’ll need to do is make a hot chocolate and grab some popcorn, maybe a few of those goodies you’ve baked! With all the different streaming services there is plenty of choice including Home Alone, Elf, The Grinch and many more.
See some Christmas lights
Another lovely and free activity is to wrap up warm and have a walk around your local neighbourhood, and have a look at all of the festive and bright displays around. You could incorporate a bit of fun and play ‘I Spy’ as you go along.
Build a snowman
If we are lucky (?!) enough to get some snow over the festive period then get yourselves wrapped up with gloves and wellies, and get outside to build a magical snowman together. Don’t forget the carrot for the nose and an extra scarf or hat to complete your creation.
Donate this Christmas
Christmas is a time of giving, and there is no better time than now to donate. You could go through your home and donate any toys, books, games or accessories you no longer need (to make way for the Christmas Day gifts!) or there are plenty of charities to give to. Asmech Systems Ltd. donate to charities every year and this year we will be donating to Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes and Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
We would like to wish all our customers old and new a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.
We look forward to seeing you again in 2023.
