Our IHS (Industrial Heat Sealing) units are an efficient solution for customers seeking support throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, particularly those in the dairy sector. These new units replaced two IHS units from within an existing production line and are much more user-friendly, allowing operators to carry out tasks in a much quicker time. Customers who use these units are ensured that their production is reliable and runs in the shortest time frame possible to optimise productivity.
These changes reduced the lengthy downtime which operators previously experienced when carrying out general maintenance and cleaning of the former units.
Asmech Systems Ltd have been incredibly busy over the past year delivering on these units amongst other projects, with many customers seeking solutions to boost their production lines to tackle the rise in demand within factories.
The IHS Units process allows filled product to be sealed using a magnetic field to heat the foil to the bottle cap. These caps which house the foil are autonomously placed onto the bottle upstream and conveyed through the sealing unit mounted over the conveyer where bottles pass through and where the operation is carried out.
Bespoke frames
In addition to these new IHS units, Asmech have also manufactured a bespoke frame with automatic adjustment to give the system the capability to cater for a variety of different bottles. The sealing unit itself is integrated into a global system, ensuring the setup of the system is controlled by a centralised panel. When the operator has selected the supplied bottle size, the framework will then automatically adjust accordingly. Furthermore, if the system requires any minor adjustments; the height of the frame can also be altered in small increments for finer adjustments on a small remote panel.
