At Asmech Systems Ltd. we manufacture and supply a wide range of conveyors for a host of purposes and industries, including Dairy, Blow Moulding, Plastics, Automotive, Glass, Pharmaceutical, Confectionery, and Food and Drink. We can design conveyors to meet a variety of needs and can supply single conveyors as well as comprehensive turnkey systems and fully automated handling systems with controls, overseeing your project from start-to-finish and providing bespoke solutions to meet your specific requirements.
With this in mind, let’s take a brief look at the most popular conveyors.
Belt conveyors
Belt Conveyors are incredibly diverse, with so many prospective applications to consider. Over the years, Asmech Systems Ltd. has gained wide and varied experience in the design, manufacture, and long-term quality of conveyors. It will be an investment you can rely on.
A conveyor belt is the carrying medium of a belt conveyor system and consists of two or more pulleys, with a closed loop of carrying medium—the conveyor belt—that rotates about them.
Slat conveyors
These are used extensively throughout all industry sectors, for the conveying of products from one area to another and form the basis of many major conveying projects.
Slat conveyors consist of endless chains, driven by electric motors operating through reduction gears and sprockets, with attached spaced slats to carry objects that would otherwise damage a belt due to sharp edges or heavy weights.
Modular conveyors
Generally designed with hygiene in mind our Modular Conveyor is typically made from Stainless Steel Grade 304 and is available in standard lengths up to 2980mm long with longer lengths being achieved by using splice joints.
A modular belt conveyor is a flat belt conveyor and is made up of individual plastic or steel modules usually linked together using joint rods. Modular belt conveyors are suitable for conveying components or packed materials throughout production areas inside factories.
Spiral conveyors
Many customers now have factories where production and storage is spread across multiple floor levels; requiring products to be either raised or lowered vertically, this is where our partnership with AmbaFlex comes in. The SpiralVeyor can be used in a wide range of markets and applications for vertical transportation, temporary storage, and the accumulation of single goods and packed products, whilst being both flexible and cost-effective.
Spiral conveyors transfer loads from level to level quickly and efficiently, without interrupting the conveying process and avoiding the need for extra manual handling or transfers to other equipment. They are ideal for mezzanines, multilevel buildings, or elevated conveyor lines.
Rotary conveyors
Rotary table systems are usually situated at the beginning or end of a production line, the product is fed on by a conveyor, and the product is singulated or accumulated on the table, allowing the operators to pack the product or pick and place on to pallets or totes. The rotary table is used to change the direction of pallet travel.
Gravity conveyors
A gravity conveyor moves the load without utilising motor power sources, usually down an incline or manually with a person pushing the load along a flat conveyor.
Gravity conveyors can be used to transport products or work from one part of your premises to another. Examples of gravity conveyors can include roller conveyors and gravity chutes. They take their name from the way that they use gravity to move goods downwards rather than electricity or motors and are built on an incline to make the movement process a smooth and efficient one.
Flexible conveyors
Flexible Conveyors have proven to be invaluable in some of the most demanding environments. Renown for flexibility and durability the Flexible Conveyors are perfect for loose loading and unloading applications. Loose loading eliminates ‘dead space’ created by pallets or roll cages.
The use of a flexible conveyor enables the operator to change discharge points by rolling and curving conveyor sections to fit your needs. They’re commonly used at shipping docks or the discharge end of a conveyor system to connect to truck trailers.
A single conveyor can serve multiple dock doors.
