On Friday 27th of March, at Asmech systems new premises; we celebrated 20 years of business in the UK market. Many customers both existing and new attended the event, where current projects were being showcased in addition to this, many of our suppliers set up stalls to display their products.
As well as displaying our machinery off to our customers in physical form, we also showed customers our equipment in a way they have never seen before… in virtual reality! Using the powerful software Asmech utilises in its design, and combining it with the new, upcoming Oculus Rift technology, those who attended were able to physically walk around a virtual factory and watch the Asmech De-bagger in action! One of our customers called it “Spectacular” and said that they felt as though they could “reach out and touch it”. Users were able to walk, lean in and look around the machine, you could even see moving parts.
All in all the open day was a huge success, with those leaving, knowing a lot more about Asmech and our suppliers and what they do. One customer said “It was my pleasure to see how Asmech are growing” and representatives from a high quality chemical manufacturer said “we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was fantastic to meet the team and see the new factory.”
