De-baggers are a popular utility in the dairy industry. They are used for opening and indexing layers of milk containers, but they can also be used for any container that are bagged in this way. The de-baggers open bags containing multiple rows of containers. Once the bag is removed, these packaging machines index containers one row at a time onto the conveyor for filling, labelling or any other packaging system purpose.
Dairy industry
The dairy industry is a fundamental part of the UK and worldwide food system. Dairy products, such as milk, provide essential nutrition to millions of people around the world. There are around 12,000 dairy farms in the UK, all striving to make their productions smoother and more efficient. Baggers and de-baggers are a part of the solution to a more efficient future.
De-baggers
Our Asmech Systems Ltd. Automatic De-bagger is a simple design offering a high-quality system with proven long-lasting reliability. The design uses a series of electrical motors, belts and pneumatic cylinders to handle the product. It functions to deposit pallets into small storage areas to be re-used. The de-bagger is suitable for any hygienic environment and can achieve various speeds.
It can take bags of product, such as milk bottles, onto pallets up to 8 layers high, taking one layer at a time and removing the bag. The system will then single the batch of bottles onto a standard slat conveyor ready to be filled.
Our Automatic De-Bagger can be manufactured to different hands, and different size pallet in feeds to suit all needs, dependant on customer specification and preferences. Our system offers continuous flat belt pack accumulations, which means the machine does not need to be stopped when a new pack is introduced.
Baggers
Our Asmech Systems Ltd. Bagger is utilised to automatically bag containers for storage or export. This machine has the ability to bag different containers from different blow-moulders simultaneously.
The containers are transferred into the machine and isolated into rows and side pushed to form a rectangular array of containers. The varying array of patterns and characteristics such as the number of bottles and number or rows can be selected from the operator touch screen.
Once an array is complete, it is pushed into position and then the array is pushed into a wall of film that wraps around and is sealed. The containers are then conveyed into a side sealing area where both sides of the film are tightened and sealed, forming the bag around the containers with film technology. With the basis of a 4 Pint (2 Litre) standard milk bottle the machine can bag 100 bottles per minute.
