Asmech Systems Ltd are with you all the way, from concept to completion of your installation. We take you through the process, step by step.
Before you order
Layouts and designs in 2D & 3D are provided to help the customer you visualise the equipment within your environment. We prove throughputs using 3D modelling simulation software, very useful during the design stage.
Then we carry out a detailed site survey taking note of existing equipment, layout and general dimensions.
Our project team will share with you our proposed solution and discuss each element with you before we proceed to the manufacturing stages.
Depending on the circumstances, installation can vary however, we are flexible in our approach and work with your production planning to minimise downtime. Asmech are able to offer full mechanical, electrical and automation installation, along with full product testing and commissioning with the end user to ensure customer satisfaction.
During project & installation
With the correct planning and health & safety considerations, work can be carried out in fully operational warehouses and factories.
Each installation will be slightly different to another but a general guide to the stages is below:
- Site Survey including ingress routes, fire door locations, drains, cables etc
- Production of a method statement and risk assessments
- Delivery of equipment to laydown area
- Inspect parts are correct and present
- Floor marking and marshalling
- Equipment assembly and positioning
- Field wiring
- Power up tests
- Mechanical and electrical commissioning and testing
- Customer sign off and documentation issuing
Changes can be made during installation, but depending on what they are and at what stage the process is at, there may be various cost changes.
After project installation
We can provide a range of operator training packages, depending on your requirements. These range from basic to advanced. Our most popular package includes detailed operator, maintenance and electrical training and fault finding.
Continued support is offered to all of our customers covering breakdown repair, planned service maintenance, spare parts, relocations as well as other services.
Installation includes a full set of documentation which are issued after installation including an operator’s manual, safety declaration & information, spare parts list and maintenance instructions.
Care and maintenance
Of course, there will be maintenance and servicing on your new machine, and we will discuss your best option for this at installation. We also offer servicing and maintenance for your existing conveyors. Depending on the age, environment, product and usage involving your conveyor, it is recommended that you have bi-annual services that we would love to provide.
It is recommended that you keep a selection of critical spare parts on site to minimise loss of production. A list of relevant spare parts is in the documentation we issue.
Regular cleaning is advised such as removing any debris. Dusty conveyors can increase fire risks so a regular dry clean is also recommended.
