Modular conveyors have many benefits and can incorporate a variety of belt types, including but not limited to; open or closed, gripped or dimpled top. Another advantage when carrying out maintenance or belt replacement work is that the belts are joined using pins between each link, therefore the process or joining and splitting belts is much easier and cost effective than a continuous belt.
These conveyors are generally designed with hygiene in mind and typically made from Stainless Steel Grade 304 (mild steel powder coated available if required) and are available in standard lengths up to 2980mm long with longer lengths being achieved by using splice joints. They come complete with heavy duty support legs that come complete with easily adjustable feet (or castors if required) and can have flights fitted on the belt if required.
The Modular Conveyor can be supplied with all types of material and widths for conveying all types of product from food preparation to bottle and pack distribution. Belts can be horizontal or inclined and accommodate bends and spirals for limitless configurations; with the drive shafts either at the head end or in a mid-position, under-slung beneath the conveyor body. Tensioning devices are provided to ensure correct setting.
